Here’s TD Garden, located but inches from the former Boston Garden (now razed) and, just like the Garden, home to the two great sports franchises (the Celtics & Bruins) who still play atop Boston’s North Station.
It’s also the scene that brought fame to the late Red Auerbach, the former Celtics coach to whom I’ve already alluded a couple of times.
But it’s not without its JFK links, either—as Mr. Kennedy gave an absolutely electrifying speech to a large local assembly on the eve of the 1960 election, and just prior to his nationally syndicated speech at Faneuil Hall.
