Three historic figures beckoned me to downtown Boston: John F. Kennedy, Paul Revere, and Red Auerbach.
So I took Amtrak from Pittsburgh to Beantown, where I engaged in the “urban backpacker” scene while staying at the very strategically located Hostelling International establishment on Stuart Street, situated on the fringe of Chinatown and formerly amidst the infamous Combat Zone.
As I was soon to discover, the local histories of the aforementioned three are delightfully and conveniently intertwined. |
