Picasso's Rape of the Sabine Women on temporary display at JFK Museum

Also on loan (from the Museum of Fine Arts) was a Picasso called the “Rape of the Sabine Women,” denouncing war; it was one of Picasso’s last works, completed during 1962-63, and may well have been inspired by the Cuban Missile Crisis successfully managed by President Kennedy.
